Jin Jin was whelped in October, 1995, at a farm in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Purchased as a christmas present for Vicki Franklin by her daughter, he has become a valued member of the family. He now resides in Orlando, FL. We take him to trials, where he competes fairly competitively in Go-to-Ground and Agility. We knew nothing about Jack Russells when we purchased him, but that James Herriot owned one, and it was one of his favorite dogs. Jin Jin has escorted us into this world of feisty terriers. He is recorded with the JRTCA, being neutered, and has earned his trial certificate. If you're a member of the JRTCA, you can see his name in the November, 1997 True Grit. Jin Jin's favorite activicties are chasing squirrels (he has scars to prove it) and 'exploiting' gopher turtles (after doing gtg, he loves holes, and all most of ours contain are gopher turtles.) He also catches rats if he can, and absolutley loves tennis balls. Especially stripping all the fuzz off them. His enemies are plastic soda bottles, poles, film containers, vacuums, etc... He goes crazy over any garden tool, especially shovels, which is kinda of funny.
Appearance-wise, Jin Jin is 11 1/2 inches tall, of a puddin build. (He's 14 inches long) He's a bit overweight, because Grandpa thinks it's funny to feed him hot dogs and ice cream. Jin Jin's face is brow, but for a white blaze which widens to include to entire area around his nose. A very pretty face, as many people have said. He also has a lot of color on his body. His ears can fold nicely if he's excited, but most of the time they just kinda "hang" to the sides. Well, that's about all to be said about Jin Jin. He hopes to see you at a trial in Central Florida one day, because he loves people! -- Vicki Franklin/ Natasha Pettifor
