We first saw Marcus when he was 3-weeks-old. A month later, he packed his bags, made his goodbyes and
moved in with us to change our lives forever. We didn't understand JRT talk, so he taught us. We're slow
learners, but he keeps at it, and our vocabulary grows each day. Some words we thought we already
knew have more meaning now because Jack Russell joy, energy, generosity and good will are not ordinary at all.
Marcus doesn't ask for much -- only to be in our company. In return, we cannot imagine a day without
him in it. Life with him means caring about all the moments in a day. He's a fine teacher. We wonder,
sometimes, who he really is.
