The volunteers brought her out to us. She was 3 years old and was left at Thankgiving by a couple divorcing. She was abused as all men including my husband scared her. She crouched and shed a ton of fur -- she was so scared.
We took her for a walk and she looked at me. I knew she was giving me a message. "I want to go to the fence to go!" We connected immediately - I knew she was the one. She moved in and was completely trained and absolutely perfectly behaved...to think they were going to put her down.
I work at home and she is THE BEST FRIEND I could ever have!! She encourages me, amuses me and most of all brings me endless joy!! I tell my husband everyday she is worth gazillions of smiles! She keeps me sane and is always there for me.
Since she has come, I found a book called "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats," by Dr. Pitcairn. I have learned to cook fresh meals for her. Would you believe she loves anchioves, creamed herring, bananas and brussel sprouts with vineagar!! She's healthy as a horse and her fur shimmers!! I also make her homemade biscuits and we sleep snuggled up to her every night.
And in return, she brings my husband and I the most incredible, unexplanable love and devotion. She is so loving, so full of joy!
